Jan Yoors in his own words

The books that Yoors published are not the only source for those who want to read Yoors’ own words about his life and work.

Return to overview.

While living in England in the 1940s, Yoors wrote an initial series of articles about his life with the gypsies for the Gypsy Lore Society. Later, when Yoors was a successful Fleming in New York with a dramatic life story, he aroused the interest of the Belgian national radio and TV station. It created several reportages on him. Finally, there is a rich personal archive that is preserved and managed by the Yoors Family Partnership in New York.
