Even before the museum opened, we toured the city with our Story Bus (with the name ‘Here I am!’) in search of contemporary migration stories. We worked with the Atlas social integration organization, schools where newcomers learn Dutch, and various sociocultural associations to collect hundreds of stories. So when the museum opened its doors, we already had an archive of 400 contemporary migration stories. You can see them in the museum hall on the round white table: that of Zohra from Morocco, Véronique from Congo, Osdanys from Cuba, Anna from Belarus, Alex and Maria from Romania, Sten and Sara from America and Antwerp, Mei-Lan from Taiwan, Kidane from Eritrea and Guido and Maria from Antwerp.
