In the museum

Make your visit to the museum more interesting: explore it yourself or be guided by a guide.

Exhibition texts

All exhibition texts are in Dutch. The most important exhibition texts have been translated into French and English.

Translations of all exhibition texts are available in French, English and German via a mobile website or for free from the museum’s reception desk.

The exhibition texts are available in digital format for people with a visual handicap. Just ask us and we will provide the texts. Send an email at least 24 hours before your visit to rsl_balie@stad.antwerpen.be.

The family suitcase

With the Suitcase full of stuff you and your children can discover the Red Star Line Museum’s many stories. You can reserve the suitcase via rsl_balie@stad.antwerpen.be or ask about it at reception desk.

The family suitcase is ideal for families with children ages 7 to 12, but younger brothers and sisters will also enjoy it. We have included activities at their level too.

Guided tour

With a tour guide you will feel like a real emigrant. The guide accompanies you during the trip, which starts in a far-off village in Eastern Europe and heads to Antwerp, then continues by ship to America. Along the way they revive the exciting stories of the Red Star Line. Book your guide here or join a planned tour.

Every second Sunday of the month individuals can connect with an organized tour. The number of places is limited. Consult the calendar and book your place.

Walks

Antwerp and the Red Star Line are inextricably linked together. For decades, emigrants walked through the city, heading towards the Rijnkaai. The emigrants left a mark on the city. Follow traces of the Red Star Line and its passengers during two fascinating walks. Group walks are organised upon request.
