A photo exhibition with a selection of photos and films of the versatile Antwerp-New York artist Jan Yoors. Koen Broos selected photos of Yoor’s travels with the Roma gypsies in the 1930s, of ethnic communities in New York in the 1950s and photos of his trips back to Belgium to (re)visit the gypsies.

Interactive tour, based on migration stories from the past and present. For secondary school pupils. Supplementary teaching materials available for technical and vocational secondary education (TSO and BSO).

Eugeen Van Mieghem is an Antwerp realist artist. He grows up in his parents’ café, right across the entrance of the Red Star Line sheds in the Montevideostraat.

Two million passengers travelled from Antwerp to North America on board the Red Star Line ships. The museum focuses on their story, on that of the shipping company that transported them and on the city and port from which they embarked on this journey.

Monumental work by Johan Creten moved to a new location near the Red Star Line Museum

Pliny’s Sorrow is an impressive bronze sculpture by the Flemish artist Johan Creten, who lives in Paris. This sculpture is on permanent public display at the Rijnkaai.
