Activities in the Red Star Line Museum

Looking for a family trip in Antwerp? Do you plan a visit thoroughly in advance? Or do you decide to come last-minute? No problem at all. The Red Star Line Museum offers something for families with children all year round.

  1. Family suitcase

In the family game, you'll follow the story of Bessie, a 9-year-old girl, who travels to America with her family. In the museum, you're on your way with assignments and fun facts about the Red Star Line. Each time you'll read a piece of the family story, and you'll have to draw, write or tell a story.

  1. Guided tour for families

Follow in the footsteps of migrants with your (grand)children and a guide. Reserve a tour for just your family, possible in different languages, or take the tour with other families. The Red Star Line Museum provides a family guided tour that is tailored to both little ones and grown-ups.

  1. Sunday family day

Every first Sunday of the month, families are VIPs at the museum. So be sure to put these days in your family calendar.  We work with a range of activities in which every child can participate at his or her own pace. All ages are welcome at the family day. Come along and take part in a workshop between 1 pm and 4 pm. No reservation needed.

  1. Festivals

The Red Star Line Museum opens its doors for family-friendly events with a great range of activities for young and old, like Kunstendag voor kinderen (Children's Art Day), Dag van de Wetenschap (Science Day) etc.
